EDGE The multi-stage regulator offers a compact two-stage performance in one stage. A two-stage regulator is recommended for applications that require constant delivery pressure over a range of inlet pressure decreases.
The first step reduces the input pressure to a predetermined medium pressure which becomes the input pressure to the second stage. Because the medium pressure is regulated, the regulator's delivery pressure remains constant. As a result, cylinders can be used for much lower pressures for increased gas savings - up to 10% of full cylinder content savings, depending on regulator services.
