Laser Welding Machine The Hybrio ™ ESABs hybrid laser welding technology combines deep weld penetration and low heat input associated with laser welding with excellent welding properties and superior slit tolerance of metal gas (GMAW) arc welding.

Very new welding alternatives, which produce very narrow welds and deep at very high travel speeds. In one pass, the Hybrio ™ process can often achieve what might require several welds using a conventional fusion welding process.
Reducing heat to parts, such as associated welding shrinkage and distortion that can make post-welding geometry unpredictable - and expensive to repair.

Using metal gas arc welding (GMAW) in combination with lasers, the Hybrio ™ process overcomes the limitations of laser-only welding with its ability to produce quality welds in joints with less than perfect fitup between its parts. This allows expanded and stronger process envelopes by a factor of three compared to conventional laser processes only.

GMAW also allows the user to add filler metals to adjust the welding metallurgical properties and make beads and fillets, while a slower cooling rate reduces violence. These features are very useful when joining high performance carbon and stainless steels.

ESAB's exclusive adaptive closed loop control system detects shared fit-up conditions and changes the process parameters in real-time to achieve a constant welding profile. This extends the process window with a further 5 times more than non-adaptive controls.
